At Coastal, we believe serving outside the church walls is just as important as serving in them. It is our hope that while you get connected with Coastal, that you would also connect to our Hampton Roads community. There are several ways to get involved on the Peninsula below.
Coastal Food Mission
The Food Mission is an outreach mission at Coastal Yorktown. Volunteers participate in a food distribution each month and minister to over 300 families from across the Peninsula by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Our Gift mission collects and distributes school supplies and Christmas gifts for the community each year.
Virginia Beach Justice Initiative
VBJI vision is to inspire Hampton Roads to become a community that takes a collaborative, survivor-first approach in meeting the complex needs of those who have experienced human trafficking and exploitation.
English Speakers of Other Languages
(ESOL) is a mission which exists to spread the gospel to non-English speakers through comprehensive, immersion-based English classes.
Peninsula Rescue Mission
The Peninsula Rescue Mission (PRM) serves homeless men in Newport News by providing a bed, shower, and food.
Since the fall of 2017 the Full Circle Ministry has provided hot meals, clothes, groceries, and other supplies as well as transportation for the Hampton Roads community.
Our community outreach to the Wellesley Commons apartment complex provides bible teaching monthly activities and transportation to church for the elderly who live there. Our team has built lasting relationships with these amazing men and women. Volunteers meet at Wellesley Commons, which is at 51 Wellesley Dr, Newport News, VA 23606.
