Faqs

If the need is urgent-a crisis, hospitalization, family emergency, or spiritual distress-contact your Campus Pastor first. For life-threatening emergencies, advise the individual to call 911, then notify your Campus Pastor so they can follow up.

Stay calm, listen carefully, and thank them for sharing. Do not promise confidentiality-you are required to report concerns that involve harm, abuse, or danger. Immediately contact your Campus Pastor to begin the appropriate response. If there is immediate danger, call 911 first. Follow the mandatory-reporting guidelines, document what was shared factually (no interpretation), and submit it using the designated incident or care form.

Begin by meeting with the individual to hear their testimony and ensure they understand the gospel and the meaning of baptism. Encourage them to sign up for our Baptism Class at gocoastal.org/baptism-and let them know you’re welcome to attend the class with them if that would be helpful. Once they’ve completed the class, our team will follow up to schedule their baptism and provide all the next steps.

Your role is to support the campus leadership by providing prayer, pastoral care, and clarity. Maintain strict confidentiality and avoid discussing details with anyone not directly involved. Follow the direction of the Campus Pastor or Elder Board, who will guide each step of the Matthew 18 process. Approach the individual with humility, gentleness, and a restorative posture-always aiming for repentance, reconciliation, and spiritual health.

Current series
“Follow Me” journeys through John 10–13, where Jesus calls people beyond admiration into true discipleship. As the Good Shepherd, He reminds us that we follow because He first knows and calls us, that our security rests in His faithful grip, and that even suffering can reveal His glory. Through powerful moments of worship, service, and sacrifice, this series invites us to see the incomparable worth of Christ and embrace the joyful, self-denying life of faithfully following Him.
