Serve the Peninsula

Reaching People of All Ages

God’s love is for everyone, and Coastal strives to minister to people of all ages. In partnership with our Food Ministry, our Gift Ministry provides backpacks for students of all ages as they go back to school. At Christmas, gifts are provided for children and youth across the Peninsula.

Coastal partners with the Special Olympics to reach young men in the Hampton Roads area. We provide transportation and financial assistance for their softball team. Our adult softball team challenges them in an annual fundraising game. We do not just meet them on the field, but we meet several of them at church. They have integrated into our church family and learned how to take their faith to their sport.

Our outreach to the Wellesley Commons apartment complex provides Bible teaching, monthly activities and transportation to church for the elderly who live there.  Our team has built lasting relationships with these amazing men and women.

Feeding the Peninsula

Our goal at Coastal is to make sure that no one on the Peninsual goes hungry.  Through our Food Ministry, Peninsula Rescue Mission, Downtown Ministry, Night’s Watch, and Soup Kitchen, we are able to provide food for about 1,000 people each month.

In addition to providing physical food, our ministries also provide spiritual food.  They have the opportunity to share the Gospel and build relationships that will have eternal significance.
