Our Goal

In each family ministry, our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where the next generation can experience the faithfulness of our gracious Father, understand the loving sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and develop a Spirit filled, living relationship with God. We accomplish this through age-specific weekly gatherings, teachings, and special events.

About Rise & Radiate, Coastal's middle & high school student ministries

Middle and High School can be a difficult stage of life. Coastal Student Ministries (CSM) leaders are committed to help your student connect to God and develop as an authentic follower of Jesus Christ through age-specific corporate worship and small groups. Coastal students have the opportunity to serve in various missions as well as to develop as leaders and minister to the younger students at Coastal.

Large Groups

At our weekly Large Group gatherings (RISE on Sunday, Radiate on Wednesdays), students meet together for worship, teaching, and fellowship.  We are still in the process of building out space for our students, but in the meantime, we have developed a temporary space they can call their own. Students can join in basketball, four square, fooseball and other fun activities as they hang out. Our leaders are passionate about joining in the fun, but also take the time to connect with students through worship and teaching.

Small Groups

Our students also break into small groups to go deeper into God’s Word. These groups are gender and age specific. Leaders disciple the students to develop them as authentic followers of Jesus Christ in small groups by helping them apply God’s Word to their specific life situations and equipping them to share the Gospel with their friends and family. Radiate meets on a separate night for their groups, and RISE groups take place immediately after their large group gathering.

Safety is Our Top Priority

We understand that is a privilege to minister to your children, and because of this security is a top priorty at Coastal. All potential volunteers go through an application process which includes a full background check.  All CSM meetings and events are fully staffed with adult volunteers and security to insure that students are kept safe.
